Catholic Ceremonies
You can have a Catholic wedding even if:

Your wedding is in a location
                       other than a church

                  One of you is
                                      not a Catholic

           One of you, or both,
                        have a previous marriage

You would like the priest to co-officiate with a rabbi,
   or another clergy person

You have other special circumstances

How can we offer a Catholic Ceremony?

Mike is a consecrated bishop in the Celtic (Anglican) Rite of the Catholic Church. The Celtic Church is simply another Rite of the western Catholic Church.  Much like the Byzantine rite, the eastern rite, or even the Episcopal churches that have continued the lineage of apostolic succession.

Bishop Mike is able to trace his apostolic succession to St. James - Bishop of Jerusalem (Acts 15)

This allows Bishop Mike to be able to perform Catholic ceremonies according to the Celtic Rite of the Catholic Church.

Please note: The Roman Catholic church  has special laws about what is and what is not a Catholic ceremony.  If you want your ceremony to be recognized by the Roman Church, there are rules that Roman Catholics must follow.

The Roman Catholic Church will not recognize the wedding ceremony of Two Roman Catholics outside of the Roman Church  as VALID. The Roman Church will accept the marriage of a catholic and non catholic at a location that is suitable for a wedding with permission from your diocean Bishop.

Please note the above statement is for  practicing Roman Catholics or those who care if the Vatican recognizes their marriage.

I personally view  apostolic sucsession and  full understanding of  Holy Communion to make the priest and the sacrament valid.
You marriage will be seen as valid by every Catholic* and  protestant faith as well as civil authorities.

Catholic means universal and includes: Old Catholics, "Orthodox Catholic, Eastern Catholics (Orthodox), Byzantine Catholics, Coptic Catholics, Celtic Rite Catholics,  Antiochian Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians.
